Child Policy
Children under 12 years of age can be accommodated with parents in the same room. The lodge has a limited number of extra beds so it is subject to availability.
- 0 – 5 years of age: Complimentary when sharing with full paying adults.
Permitted on safaris at manager’s discretion, however they are not permitted to view the big cats (i.e. Lion and Leopard). - 6 – 11 years of age: Pay published child rate when sharing with two full paying adults. Full adult rate applicable if occupying their own room or if sharing with one full paying adult. Permitted on safaris at manager’s discretion.
A maximum of two children under 12 years can share with parents in a family room. Permitted on game drives. - 12 years and older: Considered as adults and accommodated in their own rooms. Pay full adult rates.
- Triple sharing: Not applicable, family rooms can be only accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.
Seasons
Mabula Game Lodge normally receives about 481mm of rain per year, with most rainfall occurring during summer. The chart below (lower left) shows the average rainfall values for Mabula Game Lodge per month. It receives the lowest rainfall (0mm) in June and the highest (95mm) in January. The monthly distribution of average daily maximum temperatures (centre chart below) shows that the average midday temperatures for Mabula Game Lodge range from 19.9°C in June to 28.8°C in January. The region is the coldest during July when the mercury drops to 2.7°C on average during the night.
